About the Director

TITLE Building Projects is led by Mike Kane who has been working in the Building Industry for more than 15 years and as a Registered Building Practitioner since 2014.

He has an Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction (graduating with High Distinction) but his proudest qualification is that of Certified Passive House Tradesperson which he obtained in 2019. Mike lives in Melbourne’s north (Preston) but in recent years has been splitting his time down the Mornington Peninsula with his family.

He’s passionate about Sustainable Building Practices, emerging building technologies and generally doing things smarter and not harder.

TITLE Building Projects are domestic builders with a focus on high performance, high quality new homes, extensions and renovations across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula.

Are you in the design development phase of your project? We are happy to collaborate with your Building Designer early on to assist with Construction advice and budgeting to ensure no surprises.

Sustainable Building Practices

We have always made sensible choices to employ Sustainable Building Practices wherever possible.

Some examples:

• Improving waste management by recycling materials and redirecting as much material as possible from landfill, such as:

• Clean concrete, bricks and masonry are sent to a facility where they are crushed to become road base

• Demolition contractors are engaged to salvage and separate materials

• Metals are sent to scrap yards/salvage companies

• Excavated materials are separated to maximise clean fill disposal

• Use of Job Site Recycling companies throughout the build process to manage site waste

• Encourage clients to build high performing homes that require as little energy to run as possible

• Taking the time to perform quality material take offs and estimates to minimize wastage

• Choose materials with as little packaging required

We are always assessing feasibility of pre-fabricated options such as SIPS, CLT, wall & roof frames to reduce wastage.
